How much are FFA dues?
$30 - A portion of this goes to National, State, Area, District, and Local dues. Dues also include the chapter t-shirt. |

Do I need an FFA jacket?
If you are going to participating in any leadership development event, show an animal, or attend the Christmas dinner and end of the year banquet you will need a jacket. They are $75 and the we will be measuring students and collecting money at the beginning of the school year. |

What is official dress?
Boys - Black slack, black dress shoes or boots, white collared shirt, FFA jacket and tie
Girls - Black skirt that is knee length, black closed toe heels, black hose, white collared shirt, FFA jacket and scarf

What is a CDE or LDE?
A CDE is a Career Development Event or what some people call judging contests. These are things like Livestock, judging, Dairy Cattle judging, Meats, Poultry, Floriculture, Wildlife, etc.
An LDE is a Leadership Development Event and are held in the fall semester to teach students speaking skills. These are contests like Chapter Conducting, Farm Skills, Quiz, Creed Speaking, Public Relations, Ag Issues, and Radio.

Does Burleson have a Jr. FFA program?
Yes, a student may join Burleson Jr. FFA, but only for purposes of showing at Major stock shows and/or Johnson Co. Fair. These members CANNOT participate in the LDE or CDE Teams. |
